Free teeth whitening smells weird, like burned tire rubber

i searched online on and off for about 3 weeks for free teeth whitening that would look like it might really work. the one i chose showed a bunch of before and after pics. also people wrote in reviews about how good this kit works. it was free because i agreed to sign up for their email list which sends a ridiculous amount of emails. there was a shipping fee of $9.95. this is a trial kit that is supposed to last for 3 months. i thought there would be trays for my teeth but i guess i have to buy those. i won’t ask for them because i will probably have to pay for shipping again. i opened the gel and it looks okay. it has to be refrigerated. the problem is with the smell of the gel. it is really weird and i have been trying to figure out what it is. the closest thing i can compare it to is burned tire rubber. is it normal for teeth whitening gel to smell like burned tire rubber? i am kind of afraid to use it. joslyn

Joslyn – It is not normal for teeth whitening gel to smell like burned rubber, so you are smart not to use it. Is there any packaging that lists the ingredients in the gel? Even so, if the smell is strange, it is best to not to use it.

The risks of using bleaching gel with questionable contents can be burned gums, lots of sensitivity in your teeth, or tooth discoloration.

Of course, we recommend that you only receive teeth whitening treatment from a reputable source. Is there a way to verify if the photos and customer reviews posted on the free whitening gel are legitimate?

Think about speaking with your dentist to find out how whitening your teeth can be made affordable for you.
