What brand of glue is best for re-bonding my Lumineer?

I got Lumineers last March. Since then they have only been a problem and I hate the way they look. I had so many fittings with the dentist before I got them so I don’t understand why they turned out this way. I have 1 problem veneer that wasn’t glued on right. It keeps falling off. I’m sick of it. I think I can probably do a better job of gluing it back on than my dentist has done. What is the best brand of glue to use to put my Lumineers back in place so it doesn’t keep popping off? Thanks Eugene

Eugene – Don’t attempt to bond the veneer yourself. You are unable to properly clean and reattach your Lumineer.  You lack the proper dental tools, the materials, and the skill needed to correctly bond the Lumineer to your tooth. You can damage your tooth in the process.

Ordinary glue isn’t safe for use in your mouth. It is toxic. It can also damage the veneer, and you might not be able to wear the veneer at all. If you damage the veneer, it will need to be replaced.

Porcelain veneers, including Lumineers, are bonded onto your teeth with dental bonding material. They should not fall off at all. When they do loosen or fall off, it is due to improper bonding techniques. Before a veneer is bonded back on, it should be thoroughly cleaned. Your natural tooth is also cleaned before the veneer is bonded on again.

If you are not satisfied with the results you are getting with your dentist, it may be wise to find a skilled cosmetic dentist for a second opinion. He or she will examine your Lumineer and tooth to ensure it is correctly bonded in a way that will last. Proper bonding can affect the look and longevity of your veneers.
