I’m a teenager who wants porcelain veneers but will dental bonding work?

I have spaces between my teeth and I want porcelain veneers, but I am only 15 and my dentist doesn’t want to do them yet. Can I get teeth bonding to close the spaces or am I too young for that too? – Thanks Jasmine

Jasmine – Your gums are continuing to grow and develop in your teenage years. Porcelain veneers that fit perfectly when you first received them may no longer look as good. If your gums recede as you get older, the margin of the veneers will show. Your smile will no longer look as natural as it used to.

Composite bonding can be used to close spaces between teenagers’ teeth and to cover imperfections. As you age and your gums recede, the dental bonding can easily be applied to accommodate the changes in your teeth and gums.

When you become an adult and your growth is complete, you can get porcelain veneers with the confidence that they will remain natural looking.
