I want to get porcelain veneers through a dentist, but they are pretty pricey. I found this online company that will provide a mold for me to wear snap-on dental veneers. It is a fraction of the cost from what my dentist is charging. Is this a good investment? I have an ugly smile and would love to feel more confident.

The first thing you should be aware of before making a decision is that the dental veneers you are talking about are vastly different than porcelain veneers. In fact, they are not made of porcelain at all. They’re generally made of acrylic or an even lesser quality material.
There is a brand that some dentists use called Snap-on Smile. These are custom fit to your bite. Because they have to fit over your bite, they do make your teeth look a little bulky. Up close, others will be able to tell they are fake.
If you go with on online purchase, they will send you a kit to create a mold of your bite. This will be less accurate than one you’d do with a dentist. That will lower the quality even further.
You asked me if it is a good investment. That will depend on what your goals are. If you are after a stunning smile then, no, it would not be a good investment. If you are just wanting an okay smile which will be better than an ugly smile, then sure. If you decide to go with the snap-on type smile, I would suggest paying a little extra and going through a dentist so at least the mold will be as accurate. This will give you a better fit, which will be more comfortable and look more natural for you.
