I got Zoom whitening about 3 weeks ago. For the first 3 days after treatment, my teeth were really white. I stuck to my dentist’s instructions on what to/what not to eat, drink etc. My teeth are not as white as they first were. Will this happen again after the next whitening process? – Lynette
Lynette – When teeth are first whitened with Zoom, the color of your teeth is very white. After a couple of weeks, the color stabilizes and your teeth are not as white as originally. This is normal after a Zoom whitening session.
Follow-up treatments and at-home whitening as direct by your dentist will eventually get your teeth to the degree of whiteness that you want. Even with professional teeth whitening, in time, our teeth pick up stains from food and drink. You will need to do periodic touch-ups at home to keep your smile bright.
