Can they build up your bottom teeth with composite?

I clench and grind my teeth, so my bottom teeth are very worn and short. Is there anything they can do to build them up a little? I am looking for some inexpensive, temporary relief for wedding pictures.

Thanks Eric,

Dear Eric,

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to build up your bottom teeth for a temporary fix, composite material can be used, however the clenching and grinding habit you have will cause the material to wear and chip overtime. Cost of this type of dental bonding can range from $125 up to $250 per tooth without insurance. A more permanent and more expensive option would be porcelain crowns, however would last you years to come and look more natural than composite fillings. We would recommend that you have your dentist fit you with a night guard if you don’t already have one to prevent you from causing more damage to your teeth as well as preventing you from causing damage to the type of dental treatment you choose for your bottom teeth. We advise you to visit your dentist to see what options they recommend for you and ask if they are willing to work with you on a payment plan if you choose to have the more permanent restorations like dental crowns placed on your teeth instead of the composite fillings.
